Hey folks this is The Singing Blogger and I just wanna share with you some good stuff out here.
It was way back August when I first heard about the annual youth band search entitled Soundskool. This exciting event’s coming from Nescafe’. I became really excited for two reasons: One, this is a great chance for aspiring bands to become the next big star; Two, I love to see their videos, probably because I love video blogging.
The Nescafe 3in1 Soundskool official site, which is located at http://www.nestle.com.ph/nescafe/nescafe3in1/soundskool/default.aspx, features three amazing footages.
The first video I was able to watch was the White Lady. Actually I was a bit scared the first time I saw it. It was a bit similar to that “Elevator White Lady” scary video footage, which was soon found as a hoax. Anyway going back, though I felt a bit frightened, I decided to keep the video playing. *scary music playing?*
Whew! That white lady again! I expected she’s going to make a surprising appearance on the cam. Oh, there she goes, creepy… not! The white lady actually sang and rocked during her “shining white” moment. It was her way of expressing “Magparamdam Na Kayo!”, and yes. Nagparamdam ang White Lady.
The excellent concept of video made me watch the other 2. The next video I played was the Ninja.
Okay, so before that play button on my screen, again, my “assuming vibes” tried to get in the way. I was like “Come on, it could be just a ninja trying to steal Nescafe’ or something like that”. Voila! Another major fail brought to you by The Singing Blogger. Lol.
It was a normal school day and the students were busy with their school errands, not limited to… chitchatting with their mates. Suddenly, a big “wham!” was heard from the grounds. Think it was an accident? Not. It was a sound from a group of ninjas who appeared to… perform? Ok I’m starting to get the picture here. This should be another surprising act! Yeah, the group of ninjas is actually a BOYBAND! Carrying microphone and instruments, they “rocked on” at the center of that busy school. Soundskool quoted: “What’s the point of good talents when you’re just hiding like a ninja”, that’s another reason Soundskool exists!
Now there’s no way I’m not checking out the final video, my intelligence being tested here haha! Go Singing Blogger! Prove them you also have the brains, not just the voice. Lol.
That’s where the last video Duwende, was played on my favourite media player. (God I shouldn’t miss on this.)
I started playing and I really tried my best to guess what’s going to happen. During the first 10 seconds… white flag’s up. No idea how the “duwende” was supposed to appear in a normal scenario of a school locker area.
Another explosion was heard, this time from a locker. Students rushing over to that open spot and boom! A rock band of dwarves! And don’t underestimate them, these tiny little rockers’ got guts! It’s the best video for me to watch, and I know most of the people like watching this since I always get a plurk link on this video from my plurker friends.
The final score? Singing Blogger – 0, Soundskool – 3. Guess I need some coffee? Or I need to find a band. Whatever it could be, one thing’s for sure… magpaparamdam din ako!
